Hi everyone, just wanting some advice as to when kids should start learning to feed themselves, not finger food, but rather using a spoon and sitting the bowl on the highchair. My DS is 11 months and is great with finger food, however if i cut fruit or toast and sit it in the bowl beside him he will just tip the food everywhere so I am a bit hesitant with filling the bowl with anything runny. He also loves wiping food everywhere, I know all kids are different but any info from mums who have gone through this stage would be great. I don't want my DS to start too late just because I am not looking forward to the mess. lol! God help me! [Edited on 16/07/2008]
